1) How many people subscribed to the internet in 2007? How many of these were for business use? How many for home use?

BROADBAND.

1) What is broadband?
A connection allowing large amounts of data to be processed very quickly, and can split the available bandwidth into multiple channels. Basically a term which is used to describe high bandwidth which is greater than 256 bps. This is measured in kilobits, which is a unit of computer memory or data equal to minimum of 1,024 (210) bits.
2) What units are used to measure bandwidth?
The units used to measure bandwith is bits per second, although you can also use bytes yet this is not preferred as much. The units of measurement you are using depends on the computer network bandwidth. All together, the units are, bits, kilobits, megabits, megabytes, megabytes per second and megabits per second.
3) How much faster is broadband then dial up?
Dial up is the use of a telephone in order to establish a connection, it persists of 56 kbps. On the other hand broadband consists of at a minimum of 256 bps. Dial up may take a long amount of time, when being used for internet, such as if downloading a file, it may take hours or maybe even a day. Although broadband, may take up to minutes or even seconds depending on the rate the bits are processing at. The difference between both broadband and dial up is of 200bps of difference. :)
4) What are the speeds that broadband operates at compared to dial up?
The speeds that broadband operates at is at a minimum of 256 bps, although dial up's average speed is 56 kbps. Basically, broadband is seen as better and faster than dial up and is highly preffered.

5) What are some of the advantages of using a broadband connection to download something like a video compared to dial up? A broadband connection is ten times faster than a standard dial up connection, you pay for what you get. Also if you have dial up, you always have an engaged phone line which makes a lot of noise, but using broadband, you can use your phone and your internet at the same time with no interrupting noises. In majority of cases, broadband can be seen as cheaper than paying for your monthly line rental and dial up subscription. Broadband is the alternative for everyone! :)

So far, our group has figured out how our video will be set out and which type of media will be featured on it. The music we will use are a collaboration of Bruno Mars' song, the Lazy song and a very famous song by Rebecca Black called Friday. The song suggestions we had at the beginning of this project include:

TESTING VIDEO !

Here is the video in which I had experimented with using WMM :) this is in standard quality, HD is not required in this but in some cases are. The song i used was given by the school, its called Jewel Hands :) since the video is still processing the quality isnt as good as it looked before ! :)

Windows Live Movie Maker :)

Today we learnt about the basics on how to use windows live movie maker. Firstly we created a folder on our desktop in which we save all of the work we use in the video. After creating the folder, open wmm and then add some pictures, always remember at times to save your work since computers can unexpectedly shut down. The pictures you have on the movie maker has to be in the folder on your desktop so the programme knows where the picture is located, if there is no evident location of the pictures, movie maker wont read it and it will be deleted. If you want to change the duration of the pictures, all you have to do is go on the tab edit and then duration, type the time you want on it and hit enter and your done. If you want to change multiple pictures duration at one time just press control and select all of them. After you have done that, add some effects and transitions by just dragging them onto the picture. When you have finished that add your title and credits and your finished a basic movie ! :)
